Arkansas State troopers clock local Police Chief @107MPH, laugh it off, and let him go.

Yup. Another couple of those really rare "bad" cops that hardly exist anywhere. The ones that give the 99.999% good cops a bad name. Riiiight.

Professional courtesy is when a dentist gives another dentist a free or discounted filling. Or when one mechanic offers to work on another's car for free. When someone assists another person with breaking the law, and avoiding capture/consequences, that's obstructing justice and aiding/abetting a criminal.

Ask yourself this... What if YOU had been caught going those speeds? How many muzzles would have been in your face? How many kicks or punches would you have had to endure for not "respecting" an officer's demand to stop immediately? How many cries of "stop resisting" would you have had to endure while piled upon by any number of cops?

There are bad actors in every profession, I get that. But not every profession has the power to ruin someone's life - or take it - with the authority of the State behind them. Not every profession has a union that makes sure even the most detestable among them keeps their job. None of them have their own "bill of rights" that provide them with near God-like immunity. Thus, it is even more important that those with the power and authority of the State be held to the highest of standards. Unfortunately, with every passing day, we see even more proof that this profession not only protects abusive officers, but attracts them.

There are professions where you would be right in expecting a bit more of the people working there, but politicians and police seem to often let us down with no consequences.
Meanwhile you will see other public workers jump thru hoops and go far out of their way to do a good job, and those are praised far to little i think.
