Audio On of Off?

My Dash cam has a feature to toggle audio recording with video. Should it be on or off?

I jus don't want all of my phone conversations over Bluetooth to be recorded. Does it matter as long as I have the video?

Given the poor ability of all dashcams recording license plates (over exposure at night, motion blur, over compression, insufficient resolution, etc.), the workaround is read the license plate out loud (including the state of issue) so that it is captured in the audio recording. If you do not have the microphone enabled, this won't work.

I have it off because my girlfriend doesn’t like having our conversations recorded and I forget to turn it off when she’s in the car.

My mic is left on so I can make verbal notes as a backup.

I always have mine ON, for many reasons, you can't add sound later if needed but you can wipe it it wanted
