Just finished up my review of the new Blackvue DR970X Plus series dashcams that have switched to a Starvis 2 sensor. The video quality looks like an improvement over the previous DR970X, but still not as good as the very best IMX678 dashcams out there.

Bravo, this was a marathon of info.
With the missing features, individual audio notifications, reduced Wi-Fi sources 3-1, and no HDR it feels like one step forward, and one step backward.
Maybe they'll have better luck in 2025.

I reckon it only takes implementing efficient HDR for the BV's DR970X Plus series to tick all the boxes and become the greatest flagship dashcam of all times. The kind of iPhone 15 Pro Max / Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra of dashcams - expensive but simply has it all. Just HDR - no more, no less.
