BlackVue Elite 9 - Testing/Review - RCG

Your issue is therefore the SIM in the CM100LTE module.

Suggest trying a different SIM card to rule out whether it's the SIM or the LTE module.

Try using your SIM card from your mobile, or a 99p Smarty or Lebara SIM card just to test.

If it's the LTE module, BlackVue can provide you with a replacement.

(Also suggest starting your own forum thread, out of respect for the OP as this is their review thread.)

Now getting this constantly when it was working and connected..this thing is so glitchy I wish I’d have got another now
Sometimes the SIM card itself has electrical issues and may need to be replaced or swapped with a different carrier's SIM card if there are LTE coverage issues in your location.

The SIM card itself can have thickness variances that can result in the SIM card not being detected when inserted into the LTE enabled device. If the SIM card is properly positioned in the SIM card tray and the SIM card tray is fully inserted into the device, you can might try "making the SIM card slightly thicker". The idea is to make sure the contacts on the bottom side of the SIM card have decent contact pressure.

That can be accomplished with a piece of paper [cut to size] or a piece of Scotch tape placed on the top side of the SIM card. If there is strong resistance when you try to push in the SIM card tray, you should stop. You shouldn't have to make the SIM card thicker, but I've encountered this issue a couple times and that was the "resolution".

You mentioned the firmware is up to date. The latest firmware is 1.008 [as of a few days ago]. The early versions of the Elite 9 firmware had problems configuring and using LTE connections from certain carriers [T-Mobile in the U.S. in my case]. I think it was starting with firmware 1.004 that the LTE connection issue was resolved for me.
