Btw, is there any difference if I hardwire the dashcam in Fuse box vs OBD port? There are plenty of universal OBD cables available (on a well known online retailer for example) that would work with most brands of dashcams. Some come with adjustable voltage settings so you can choose to set it at say 12V, 12.2V, 12.4V or whatever you feel comfortable with. Just make sure the connector on the dashcam end is the same as the cable that came with the camera (eg: mini, micro or USB-C).

Thanks for this @DashmellowAs @OldEastSider pointed out some OBD connectors will provide more voltage control options.
BTW, what I said about running cables through your firewall wire harness grommets out to your engine compartment fuse box would also apply to an OBD cable, so either way that seems like the method you will need to use.
Here's how to do it.
I guess for CX-30 the OBD2 port is in the kick panel underneath the steering wheel.
Oh yeah. I still dont have the car to verify this but this is the reference:I didn't know that. That could make an aftermarket OBD connector a more compelling option then. On every vehicle I've owned the OBD port is in the engine compartment.
