I bought this camera last week which I have been happy with.

Today was the first time I drove with it at night. Being the passenger, I noticed even though the screensaver is on, the screen would come on periodically through the trip.
At the same time, I noticed at times it wasn't recording.
During the journey, I came to the conclusion that it would only start up and record when there was a strong light source such as street lamps or oncoming headlights (though it would start recording once the car has passed us).
It works flawlessly during the day.
It seems its being too intelligent for its own good. I want it to record all the time no matter if it thinks there isn't enough light. Can this be done? I'm sure the display coming on when it sees a light source can become distracting.
