A company is looking into offering a carcam/iPad (or Android based) combo to driver instructors.

Plan is to use it to review and analyze driving practice sessions. They'll stream video to iPad so apps for Apple (or Android) devices are required. Preferably GPS (to record speed) but that is not a requirement. Camera should continue to operate when 12V is cut, that is the camera should stream also when car is stopped.

I have DR500GW HD and Vico-WF1 on the shortlist. What else should I add?
 
continue to stream is going to need power from the car

not a lot of choice in the market right now, next year will be better for choice in WiFi models
