I wouldn't say always but very often these cheap 1080p cameras that use AVI file format are using a low end chipset and the 1080p is interpolated rather than native 1080p, price suggests that might be the case here also

I can't tell, but it looks like a one piece mount/camera body set up?

You can get something of the same type for a little more and at least there is some support online? Why bother with unknow stuff if you want to be able to rely on the video being there when you need it, and the camera operating, or operating for more than a few weeks?

Spend 15-20 more and get a B1W.

actually have one of these. it’s reliable and discreet but the picture is definitely a terrible 720P interpolated to1080P.
