Crash not recorded

My camera (front and back) recorded 1 minute prior and 1 minute after crash but did not record the crash. I was hit from the rear and i hit the car in front of me. Im assuming the impact stopped the camera. Why didnt it record the truck coming up behind me?

Can you tell us what dash cam you have?
Can you upload the 4 clips to YouTube, and post them here, (2 F&R before and 2 F&R after)?

Depending on the dash camera make/model, the videos being written to during the crash may have been moved to another directory on the memory card. If you identify the make/model of dash camera, it will allow us to figure out what it should have done during the crash (impact event). The assumption being made is that power was still being provided to the dash camera during the impact event.
