DDPAI Z60 Pro 3ch Set - 4K Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 - 4G Cloud - Unboxing & Testing & First Impressions

Thank you for your review post. I also recently bought Z60pro with 4g module. My issue is that after I have done all the installation well, everything is working fine including 4G LTE, parking mode. But I run into issue that when I choose the device mode to sleep in parking mode, I can't wake it up from 4G LTE remotely, and on the app, it shows "Failed to switch device mode: please try again later", but when I tried again, the device said offline, even 4G module light is on, and working. But the Z60pro woke up when I tested the car shaking and it records for collision movement. When I put z60 pro into time-lapse mode and normal recording in parking mode, I can remotely view the device. But I want sleep mode to be working because I don't want a 48 hrs limitation for time-lapse mode and normal recording mode. My 4G network test is normal, full signal strength, ddpai and z60pro latest version (global), but my Z60pro fails to wake up from sleep mode. I am thinking may be I can downgrade to previous firmware, but currently unable to find previous firmware. If you have any solution for that, really appreciated it.
Do you need any subscription with DDPAI like you have when you use BlackVue, remote services?

No.
You just need a SIM card with data and you are good to go.

Updated: After going through with customer service and self-testing, finally found out that DDPAI 4g module doesn't work with special sim card (in US, we can get AT&T or T-mobile data only sim AKA tablet sim without phone line). Customer service can't figure it out and they didn't reach me out again after I summited logs file, I found out by myself. Found out their included sim card with subscription works pretty fine except low data speed which makes the live view image low quality, but if you have your own sim card without any data throttling, the live view quality is awesome. Live view quality is better than 70mai live view but 70mai 4g module works with data-only sim. Unfortunately, I have to switch to 70mai because of I am not able to wake up and live view z60pro with my sim card.

I just got the V60 Pro dual-channel, with the front and rear cameras only. The image quality is very impressive indeed, but the DDPAI watermark is really annoying, and it seems there's no way to turn it off just the watermark, but you need to completely turn off the Timestamp for this. Could anyone please confirm there's no way to turn off the watermark on this device?

The logo watermark can also be set to off in the DDPAI APP.

After a few weeks of use I am really happy with this z60 pro As an improvement, it would be nice to have the possibility of setting a delay before putting into parking mode in order to have time to close the door without triggering a collision alert when we are in very sensitive detection.

No, there's no option to turn off the logo watermark available in the app. The only available buttons are to turn off Timestamp and another one to turn off Speed. Could you please tell me how to turn off the logo watermark?

The 4G box uses Quectel EC200A-EL LTE Cat4 modem, which BTW does not support GSM/GPRS.
Is there some connection schematics available, before i start cutting the USB-C cables ?
I bought the box at amazon and it came with the austrian A1 sim card, but i have no idea how to activate it 😉

Please refer to the diagram in the attachment for connection. Once connected, the device will give a voice prompt when the 4G connection is successful. Then, you just need to bind the recorder device with the mobile phone APP.

DDPAI also claims improved night performance with NightVIS 2.0 and AI ISP processing, and I’m particularly interested in testing how well that holds up compared to other 4K setups I’ve used recently.

Are there any test results of NightVIS 2.0 with AI ISP?
I'm interested in AI ISP.

DDPAI is currently working on improving the nighttime performance.
The plate capture is not on par with other current IMX678 dashcams.
In other words, they are improving the NightVIS 2.0.

Thank you for your quick reply. I will ask DDPAI members.

Thank you all for your feedbacks! We have taken note of every suggestion, and we truly appreciate your input.

Given the importance of product performance and image quality, we are conducting both internal image testing and real-world road tests at various resolutions. We have already started updating the software, adjusting parameters, and scheduling tests. We anticipate a preliminary beta version to be released over-the-air to all users for internal testing by early October. : )

The product descriptions of NightVIS used to be "NightVIS 2.0 with AI ISP",
but recently they have become only "NightVIS 2.0", "with AI ISP" has disappeared.
This means not using AI ISP now ? My camera is Pictrey A400.

Hello,
Can we talk to the driver through the DDPAI mobile app?

This feature is already available in other brands and I would love to have it on Z60 Pro as well.

No, that's not the case. The AI ISP has always been active and was never canceled. The AI ISP primarily reduces image noise during parking surveillance. Paired with the IMX678 sensor and NightVIS 2.0, we are continuously investing in R&D to optimize image performance. Thank you all for your suggestions. We will notify and push the latest updates and new firmware via OTA as soon as they are available.

Hello @linuxliu could you please address the issue about the impossibility to turn off the DDPAI logo watermark only, and not needing to turn off the date watermark altogether in order to turn off the logo watermark. Users should have the option to keep only the date and speed watermarks in the videos.

Thank you for your reply!
In the product descriptions, under the "NightVIS 2.0 with AI ISP" photo, there used to be written
"The Al ISP is only activated in Timelapse Recording mode and requires the use of the Intelligent Hardwire Kit"
Now, the AI ISP also active at normal recording or still only at timelapse recording mode?

Yes, same as before, it activates during parking monitoring and time-lapse recording.

I'm very interested in AI ISP, new technology. The AI ISP is active only time-lapse recording.
So, to see the effect of AI ISP, I compared time-lapse recording with normal recording.

But I cannot find any difference between time-lapse and normal recording.
pictrey A400 fw: v9.2.0.6

Dear Sir,

Z60 PRO supports AI ISP. Pictrey A400 (fw: v9.2.0.6) does not support AI ISP.
