Did I buy a fake DVR-027 ?

I just read the wiki at http://dashcamtalk.com/dvr-027-720p but I'm still not sure if I purchased a fake DVR-027 or not.

The timestamp on the footage is very small and is on the very bottom left corner. It records in .AVI format and each 5min segment (w/ audio) is about 350mb. Here is a sample I uploaded to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMduGln7HUc

Can someone confirm if I got a fake camera or a real one? The camera has been pretty reliable so far. I just can't tell if it's real 720p resolution or interpolated from a lower resolution but I'm not expecting miracles from such a tiny and cheap camera sensor. Also the audio is a bit crackly but good enough. Thanks for any feedback.

It definitely isn't a DVR207 - but is of very good quality for $48. I'm uploading footage from my DVR207 so stay tuned for a review shortly. Nice accord by the way

I wish the quality of mine was a good as this. Is yours a fake or not? Who knows, but at least you are getting good quality images. Surely that is what counts? I paid rather more than you did, and mine are just not as good.

not the original version but aside from the audio being a bit crackly the result is much better than the average DVR207 clone, for the price you paid I think it's doing a good job, as long as it's reliable I wouldn't worry too much

OP's eBay link reads as a real DVR 027, not a fake one.
However the video is not of a real DVR 027, so hard to say.
I will say that it could be using an older Novatek processor rather than the real 027's Zoran processor.
I swear that date stamp is very 808ish lol.

Also looks a little like a Carcam K2000 time stamp.
There was another user here who i believe also bought a camera in a DVR-027 casing with a time stamp like yours.
