dvr-027 parking mode?

Hello,
Few months ago I bought dvr-027.
Today I installed it and turned it on for the first time in my car.
The battery is full and the motion detection works great when the car is on.
Right after I'm turning the car off, the camera goes off to. (but can be turned on manually by pressing the ON button)
There is any option that the camera will stay on the battery after the car is turned off?

that's not how it's intended to be used, software may not allow that to happen automatically but if not you could always turn it on yourself I guess

Is the same true for the new DVR-207GS? I just asked more question about it in this other thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=559#p13403

Someone proposed a few work arounds as well if it's the same.
