So I thought I'd in brief share my hardwire setup:
-Orion TR smart 12-12-30
-6 Awg pure copper wire
-Everything 100 amp fused with midi fuses
-Everything hammer crimped with copper lugs
-LiTime 100Ah self-heating lifepo4 smart battery
-Custom 3d printed terminal protector / orion holder / fan support
The Orion has a common ground so you can use the acc power on signal to the camera without a relay.
The battery is automatically self heating so it maintains temperature in cold weather and charges instantly.
With the added cooling, the Orion consistently puts out 35 amps / 460 ish watts into the battery.
An AudioControl a800.1 amplifier for my subwoofer is connected to prevent additional strain on the alternator. A separate 120 mm fan with fan speed controller provides adjustable cooling that is wired to acc power.
This is all connected to a hardwired viofo a229 pro with an upgraded ultra wide interior camera.
All said, it should record about 7 days in warm weather and a little less in cold. It should also charge to full in about 20 minutes after 24 hours of camera use.
I also have an additional hardwired car outlet connected to the battery for an always on extra power socket that supports up to 200 watts (it is 14 awg wiring).
It was expensive, but I don't think you could get better for auxiliary power.
