My original installation of Innovv C3 as a rear dashcamera HERE

I decided to make an installation even more discrete, so I have made custom bracket / mount ( for Passat B6 / 3C )

@niko, very impressive and smart DIY,

The DIY mount is tiny and achieves the idea of being hidden dashcam that C3 is designed for.

Niko -

Very nice! Where did you put the main C3 unit at in the car?

Innovv C3 main unit as rear dashcam is temporary mounted near rear seats headrest. THis way I can see in mirror blinking Red LED. Also I tried full length of remote lens from centre of rear windshield allow to mount main unit between front and rear door top part of pillar area ( if you know what I mean ). There is good practical ( discrete ) place, can see LED and also can operate buttons if needed.

fantastic! what is the blue piece from?

the final one looks great, and it makes me want to do more DIY projects.

It looks like the lid from a felt tip or marker pen.

Ingenious by the way. Looks like an off the shelf product.

I bet Niko cannot look at everyday objects without thinking, "I wonder if I can use that in a mount?"
