GS8000L firmware and 720P issue

Hi everyone.
I have a GS8000L dashcam for some time now. Recently I noticed that I could not have 720p videos.
When I set the resolution to 720p the videos will have 640x480, just like when I set it to VGA...
If I put it to Full HD 1920x1080 or to HD 1440x1080 I will get videos in 1920x1080.
I am pretty sure that this was not happening in the beggining. I used to record in 1920x1080 but I had some corrupted videos and I tried to use 720p and now I noticed I am getting VGA...
My firmware had a red sports car logo on startup and stand-by screen. The firmware version was from 2014.01.11
I thought this problems might be solved with a firmware update. I found several firmwares on the internet but only one works: 2014.01.01-1
All the other make the camera have a full white screen. Where can I get a copy of the 2014.01.11 firmware I had? I found other firmwares with this date but they give the white screen...
Hope someone can help to solve my problem.

the chipset doesn't actually do 1080p, it's upscaled

I know the chipset is native 720p... And that is why I didnt mind to record in 720p instead of 1080p.
But now I can only record in 1080p (upscaling) or VGA... This is what I am trying to solve.
