GW522 Bluteooth - Keeps disconnecting

I have a 522 running the latest updates with an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 16.3 ....the cam has been hardwired into the car by Halfords.
The issue I’m having is that the Bluetooth is constantly disconnecting, then reconnecting meaning the cam makes a “chime” sound when it makes the Bluetooth connection. I keep hearing the sound as I’m driving, every 5-10 min I’ll hear it! It is really frustrating (even though all of the warning sounds are switched off on the camera !!????). I have tried all the usual stuff, deleting the cam and reconnecting the Bluetooth, and even doing a hard reset on the cam. Really would appreciate your help on this as my thinking is just to return the camera now as it's too annoying to use.
BTW the Notifications are switch ON and the permissions are also Set to When Using the App...Bluetooth is connected/.

Thanks for your message. What firmware version is the 522GW on please?
1) Turn the Dash Cam on
2) Ensure it is not recording (by pressing the red circle if required)
3) Go into Settings (the button in the top left)
4) Go into Setup settings
5) Scroll across to ‘System Info’
6) Look at the Firmware number RXX.XX.

Please can you check that the following settings are enabled on your phone and app:

Sorry....also all of the setting are set as they should be with Notifications, Bluetooth, Wifi App refresh etc all on

Go to the MyNextbase Connect home page- click on the top left menu- scroll to the bottom of this menu. You'll see the Version displayed as XXXX.XX.X (XXXXXXX).

Well after two days of no disconnecting my camera has disconnected constantly for the last 4 days. It only disconnects for about 1 second but annoyingly the camera beeps to tell you that....so on an 8 mile journey home last night it disconnected and reconnected about 10 times...very annoying. All the apps and firmware is up to date (as per our last conversations so I'm not sure what to do now other than ask for a replacement or my money back. Can you help?

You can turn off the device sounds by:
1) Turn the Dash Cam on
2) Ensure it is not recording (by pressing the red circle if required)
3) Go into Settings (the button in the top left)
4) Go into Setup settings
5) Scroll across to ‘Device Sounds’
6) Turn this to OFF.

Hi Millie

I'll call on Monday. It is set to off and it's still making beeping noises every time the bluetooth disconnects. The latest thing is that the battery is not holding any charge. I know it is charging in the car as it goes into charging mode every time the car is switched on. I think I'm at the stage where I'd like the unit replaced please. I'll call Monday. Thanks

Hi Millie... Someone called me (a guy) about 10 days ago and promised to send me a replacement camera. he was going to send me through a form to fill out but nothing has arrived. I'm really wanting to get this camera swapped over. I've talked it through with so many people now...nobody knows what to do...it just needs replacing. can you help please. Chris
