Hardwire 0805

I want to hardwire my 2 0805's....what fuse do they need to be protected by?

They use a little less than 0.5 amp each so a 1 amp fuse for the two is adequate, most people use a 3 or 5 amp as they are more common.

Remember that they use 5 volts, not 12 volts - you need a 12 volt - 5 volt converter. One with 1.5 or 2 amps is fine, preferably with two outputs, or use a Y splitter to get two outputs, or if more convenient use two converters. The cigar lighter adaptor can be used hardwired and one adaptor can provide power for two cameras.

Don't like the look of that cheap one! The first is excessively expensive but does claim to prevent complete battery discharge.

Been thinking....could I use USB's lead straight into a double usb connector?..like what you use in a cigarette lighter?

As long as it provides 5 volts and at least 0.5A for each camera then things should work fine.

That CPT convertor looks good to me, I just used a single output version to power a computer - seems to give a nice steady exactly 5V output and is quite nicely made.
