windows media player wont play dash cam video, what do I need to fix it?
 
What dashcam do you have?
 
Maybe codec pack need update.
Good video player is VLC Media player. Try it.

Make sure you have the latest version. Does it give a message when it fails to play?
 
Second using the VLC player. W-10 is supposed to have a usable player but earlier OS's free bloatware doesn't compare to VLC ;)
