How to set up a CPL filter?

Hi,

I have a QVIA T790 for which I just bought a CPL filter (actually a 24mm CPL filter for a mini 0806 that I will use for my dashcam).

- which side should be facing the dashcam?
- what is correct orientation of the CPL?

If you lay down your dashcam horizontally where lens is facing up then Letters on CPL filter has to face also up.
