The cammer did speed up a bit, but most likely to clear the intersection.

In fact both cars were performing similar moves (pulling to the side to get past a queue and go forward.)
Could have been handled better by the person filming, but the BMW had no right to expect him to.
Funny how people get angriest when dealing with their own mistakes and not wanting to lose face.
