Imitation / Dummy / Fake Dash camera

There are many imitation ( fake ) CCTV cameras out there.

Below is the first dummy dash camera I came across.
It's a good solution to show others that you have "something", but not sure if car owners need this type of "cheating". The only one they cheat is them selves, I think.

Price is 14usd ( in Korea ). For the same money can buy fully working dvr-207 cheap copy. Yes, it will be a crap camera, but still at least it car record something, rather than just having useless dummy dash cam in the car.

I think in Korea it's more about insurance scams, pedestrians jumping in front of slow moving cars etc, this problem is what sparked their uptake of cams in the first place

Any dash camera attracts burglars.
The only positive thing I can see from dummy dash camera, is in case if someone really wants / need to break into the car ( he still will do it ), at least difference is that it not that big "lost" ( 15usd ), than if you would had 150usd dash cam. But as jokiin said: " ... even a bad camera is better than no camera ". So better to have cheapest crap ( 15-17 usd ), than this dummy.

Found another dummy dash cam now on eBay.

It looks like it might become a trend ?
Looks pretty convincing.
