Guys

Recently had to return my first ever dash camera... had it for a few days and hit a major issue where I couldnt access the options menu as it was continually recording... thanks to anyone who offered me advice on how to fix the issue but now its been sent back and and am now looking for a replacement...

As someone who drives a truck for a living, I need something thats going to be reliable, I was looking at two in question either the Mobius or a Nextbase 402..So whos got one and whats your experiance ..... Im leaning towards the Nextbase as it has GPS and will record my speed, which is ideal for my work situation.

But then the Mobius looks neat and compact, but limited on needing a laptop / PC to view recorded footage whilst the 420 has playback....or Can anyone else suggest a dash camera that wont break the bank

Why spend £130 on a dashcam with a difficult to replace LiPo? Because Which? voted it a 'Best Buy'? I'm happy to buy a toaster or washing machine on the strength of a Consumer Association recommendation, but not a dashcam.

As for Mobius, stick it's card in your Android phone or tablet & view the clips. Or connect Mobius to Android phone or tablet via OTG cable & view clips & do much more...

£130 is too much to pay for a battery-reliant camera. At this price level you're entitled to expect say 3 years of hassle-free use, & a battery won't last that long. Capacitors will.

You can convert a Mobius from battery to capacitor in 5 minutes for a few quid. Tools required ... screwdriver.

The capacitor-equipped BlackSys CF-100 is a £70 bargain... https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threads/amazon-uk-bargain-deal.12002/

The capacitor-equipped MateGo MG380G is only £102 from JooVuu... https://www.joovuu.com/gb/in-car-cameras/264-matego-mg380g.html

Increase your budget to around £160 & you can get a Street Guardian... http://hiniko.com

£170 buys the Thinkware F750... http://www.racshop.co.uk/sat-navs-t...ct/thinkware-f750-dash-cam.html?Action=Cookie

Why spending that much for a poor cam and why not go to find a world class one? If you demand a good quality dash cam for $1xx pounds. You can check the Lukas dash cam in Vancouver BC, Witness Auto Dash Cam can help you with that. The sole distributor of the Korean Lukas Dash Cam. Lukas has been the top 1 model in the Korean compares to other brand in the market. We recommend you to purchase the one channel dash cam like the LK-7700. It comes with samsung len with g sensor and motion detector, which will record and save the data automatically after there is any impact during the time of driving and parking. You won't need to worry about losing any important data because it will saved separately in the sd card, which means the daily driving videos and the impact data is separated (8GB). It provide low voltage cut out, which you don't have to worry about the electricity in your vehicle. Also you can add one more CPL filter in order to make the video more clear by reducing the sunlight reflection. It's operating temperature is from -20℃ to 70 which the Lukas cams can solve the important problem of overheat comparing with the other brand in the market cannot It will be a smaller cam. Simply you can take out the sd card then insert into any computer and watch it. More important, the exchange currency has been quite good for uk pounds to canadian dollar.
However. I would recommend you to purchase one more battery pack(LK290) because it cannot support the parking mode while your engine is stopping, only the Lukas two channels can do that without an extra battery pack.
