Found this in my archives while editing some footage from a holiday in the South of France a couple of years ago.
Fortunately the van driver was concentrating otherwise it could have been curtains for the guy on the bike.

How about both, LOL! Having driven through Paris though I can sadly say that , that is about normal behavior for motorcycle and scooter rider in France.

Yes the motorbike and scooter riders on the Paris périphérique are something else, especially in rush hour.
