just gone to the compatibility page, says sandisk extreme 128gb is unstable for 4K dashcams? below the 512gb sandisk extreme is listed as ok?
is this right? ive been running 512gb sandisk extreme in my 4k A229 Pro 3ch for ages with no problem??

A229 Plus it's a relatively new cam. How could you have used it for "ages"?
And no, A229 Plus it's not 4K. A229 Pro it is. It's a little weird to not know the specs for your own dashcam.
Especially for a "well known member", no offense!

cant remember how long but a while and not a single issue.
i have that many of these things its easy to lose track of what one is what and where i have that many.
here it is attached.

Well, this is A229 Pro, not Plus as you stated in the first post.
A229 Pro Viofo began selling in the fall of 2023.

Explain HOW you can use Sandisk Extreme 512 GB on 4k A229 Pro 3ch for many years without problems???
A229 Pro Viofo began selling in the fall of 2023.

i didnt say years anywehere, i said for ages, since they were released pretty much, i cant even remember when that was, but i have had the same 512gb card in it since day 1 with no issues.

We do not mean the specific 128GB storage of this card is not stable, we mean the Sandisk Extreme Card is not so stable when used on our 4K cameras according to our experience.

What are your camera settings?
Is it used as 3 channels?
Is 4k selected as the resolution?
Is the image quality setting at maximum? Or which one do you prefer?


In fact, it cannot be called incompatible. Based on experience and experience, the answer to the question "you recommended this" is given in advance in case of a possible problem.

By the way, if the resolution is selected as 2k or FHD, it can work stably on 4k cameras. If the image quality is selected as low-medium, working conditions will improve and you will be able to use the card in question without any problems.

In summary, various problems may be encountered when using the (4k) cameras at full performance, but if reduced quality or resolution is selected in the settings, there may be no problem.
