mini turns of after 20 seconds

My mini seemed to work when I got it. I did download new firmware (20141125 v1.0) I think is right but who knows. Now it turns off after about 20 seconds, no mater what I am doing with it. I checked all the settings, Pluged in or on battery, I can't figure it out. I am hoping it is a firmware issue and I just haven't programmed it correctly. If someone would help me figure this out, I would be forever thankful.

Just wanted to update in case someone else has this issue. I did go ahead and download firmware below from splashETech and it seems to be working.

Be careful, there are four 0805 variants!!
- No GPS
- With GPS
- 8GB internal and NO GPS
- 8GB internal and with GPS

I didn't realize there were different versions. My is with GPS, not sure about the 8gb internal. I don't think it does as it won't record if the memory card is out. All in all the firmware I downloaded is working. I think I screwed it up the first time and the result was the 20 second turnoff. At least I don't feel like I wasted $65 anyway. Thanks ffor the input.
