Hate to open a new post but can't seem to find an answer to this question....
When the Mobius is hard wired into the car's fuse box, does it charge the internal battery of the Mobius
as you drive along & record ? Additionally, what if it's plugged into the cig lighter adapter - does it charge from that source ? If it does not charge, does it deplete the battery ? Reason for asking is that if I take it out of the car to use as an action cam (e.g. in hockey arena) don't want to be disappointed with a low or no battery

Mobius has a battery charge indicator on start-up. Look at the red LED, 3 blinks is full charge, 2 blinks partial, one blink low. This does not indicate remaining battery capacity which degrades over time, only that the battery is holding all it is capable of holding.

Test battery capacity remaining by using Mobius on the battery for most of it's rated time. If Mobius doesn't last at least half of the battery's the rated time you need to replace the battery PDQ, but it will still function with external power until the battery is nearly gone though you may lose the last files toward the end of that time when shutting down.

Batteries are cheap and plug in, all you need is a very small philips screwdriver and a few minutes. The process is described in the early posts in the "Mobius Support Thread". Dispose of the old one properly through a recycler.
