So I'm sure this has been asked before so I apologize as I couldn't find anything specific. I have a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and with the new cams utilizing adhesive would it be feasible/wise to mount the cam to that (see pic). It seems like a fairly flat surface.

That's where I've been mounting my cameras almost exclusively for many years now. Been working out just fine.

You probably need another model of the 3M tape as the ones provided are tailored for use on glass.

I once had a BOX analog camera with 27 X optical zoom attached to my mirror stalk, worked just fine.

That specific part is plastic and just pops right off, and the OEM replacement part comes pre-painted. You can find them from any Mazda parts store online - usually they are connected to a physical Mazda dealer, so you know you're getting a genuine, new part. Definitely easier than trying to repaint it yourself. Source: me, whose CX-5 is on its third passenger side mirror in Deep Crystal Blue.
