yeah just too slow to be practical, camera needs to be powered on so if leaving it in the car the power draw needs to be taken into consideration, having it on for hours at a time isn't generally a good thing for the car battery

I would just use parking mode out and about shopping ASO, at home i have CCTV on the car, and that's also the case when i visit my friend though he just moved from a suburban house to a rural ex farm, so only traffic he have now is the highway that pass by his house.
We will have his driveway rigged with sensors and a camera on it some time during the summer, there will be no sneaking up on us unless you go SPEC OPS stealthy on our punk asses.
Also my car are small and so are its engine and battery, so really i would prefer a setup with a isolated battery ( deep cycle ) for the camera.
