I’ve recently purchased a Nextbase 422GW dash cam wich comes with built in gps. In order to enable this feature the GPS Stamp feature has to be set to ‘On’. When I setup the device for the first time I set this to ON and double/triple checked as well but still no gps info in the clips. When I open MyNextbase Player on my computer in order to playback the clips there’s no map data for any of the videos.
Another issue with the device: there is a screensaver feature and if it’s on the screen will go black a few seconds after the start of the recording but the device will keen on recording. However there is another screensaver option at when the screen will not go black but will display the actual speed of the car. I can chose this in the settings by enabling the speed display option at the screensaver menu. If I set this option the screen won’t go black but will stay on the live feed, no black screen with the speed of the car.
Am I got myself a faulty device?
