No screen, no startup.

Hi everyone. 3 day newb here.

This mini 0806 is great. Especially with RegistrationViewer.

Been on the oem power cable the last week. All's great.

But after 3 drivetimes and 3 recordings after installing the accessory hard-wire 12v supply, the cam is not acting right. After I turn on ignition:
*blue light is on (power)
*red light is steady-on (camera ready)
*green light wont come on (gps)
- the splash screen wont come on at all
-and there's no sound like it used to booting up.
-I can turn off the red light with the power button, but no sound or screen - ever.
-Its this way with/without 128 card, with/without plug-in power cord, or even just on battery.
-computer usb hookup is no different either.
and yes, the dash power hookup was dead-on correct and triple verified before sending power to the unit.

I think its DOA.

suspect that's your culprit, check the feedback from others on this, it's an 0806 killer due to voltage spikes, if you bought together with the camera you might be able to get the seller to to sort your camera out

Then since I have the GPS mount, can I replace just the camera? Wonderingif the GPS recording will carry over. Trying not to be cheap but I'm already out a hundred bucks.
