Original Mobius night recording with 4mm ~ F1.2 lens (!)

4mm F1.5 vs 4mm F1.2

At low speeds, there's not much to choose between these two 4mm lenses

4mm F1.5 vs 4mm F1.2

At higher speeds in overcast conditions, the F1.2 has a slight edge over the F1.5. Both lenses outperform my A119 at 1080p60fps (F1.8 lens) for number plate capture.

4mm F1.5 vs 4mm F1.2

Both cameras are now set to lens profile 'B', and are producing much more realistic colours than with profile 'A'.

This morning we had bright low sun on my drive to work.

As before, there is not a lot between them, but my preference is still the F1.2 lens. The F1.5 seems to have a bit less contrast and sharpness.
Both suffer contrast loss due to glare to about the same degree, despite the F1.2 lens having a much larger front element.

To illustrate how both of these Mobius 1 & 4mm lens combinations are lacking overall contrast and saturation, these two frames (cropped to similar FOV and resized) were recorded at the same time from a different camera.

Don't you just love this thread.....!

:censored::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::cautious:

You could contact the seller, tell him the kind of camera you are using and it's screw mount distance Mobius1=18mm, Object lens mount is 20MM. see what he says about making it work, and still be able to fall back to original (M12 type) lenses and mount. You never know till you try!

I think it will not work (for sure?), the Mobius is an M12 mount, this lens is M16 mount.... I dont see how that could work, regardless the screw mount distance...??The lens barrel is too big to fit inside the lens mount of the Mobius, or any M12 lens mount, no matter what adapter you use...?

The lens you posted comes with its own mount that has 20mm hole spacing. If they could make an 18mm version it might fit - the seller seems open to suggestions. However it may clash with some PCB components and the case would need to be modified. On the whole it seems unlikely to work.

Ah, right, you meant the distance between screw mounts for the lens holder. Hmm, well I already dropped a message, let's see what happens....

If anyone's interested in a F1.8 lens with 185 AOv: https://www.ebay.nl/itm/HD-5mp-1-39...e-M12-F1-8-IR-Board-Fisheye-Lens/382648632494

Respons seller:

"thank you for the photo, refer to attached, there maybe a problem our the LENs adapter,
bigger size adapter, your device housing may noth enough space to mount it."

I'm calling nogo...

Hi dirkzelf, well at least you tried. It was a long shot but sure would have been nice, Are you going to try and refocus the F1,2 lens?

I took it out and installed it in the JooVuu..... I now have the JooVuu and the A119S with this F1.2 lens, I use a F1.4 lens now for the Mobius. Soon on the utjube....

You know, that lens looks very similar to the F1.5 Lens B on the Mobius Maxi, and also the F1.6 lens on the A129.

Yeah you know, a lot of cars do too, but still.... ;)
