Panorama G questions

I used the form on the Pier28 site but haven't gotten a response so I thought I'd ask here.

I'm interested in the PanoramaG or whatever it's called now. It looks like lots of other dash cams so I wondered what the warranty was and who provides support? I like the idea of GPS (I like gadgets), but image quality night and day is really more important to me.

The DOD LS 430W/460W are also of interest to me, but don't seem to get much discussion here.

Panorama G is quite good. You'll get lightning fast service and support. 1 year warranty. I (Jon) provide support. I don't recommend DOD or we would sell their prodcuts.

If you didn't already order a memory card we recommend a 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB Class 10 FULL SIZE SD Card. (don't use microSD via Adapter long term)


The new Panorama firmware added native exFAT file system support for >32GB cards (64GB, 128GB, 256GB). This means you can format the card inside the camera, nothing special to do works great. (SD Memory Card not included in the base package)

About the 3M adhesive sticky mount:
1) Be sure you clean the window first.
2) When you apply the stick base to the window, hold the bracket firmly against the glass for around 2 minutes, then wait 20 minutes before you attach the camera. The tape has a 50% bond after 20 minutes, 100% bond takes 72 hours, if you put the camera on earlier than 20 minutes there's an increased chance it will fall off after a while.

If you don't already have a laptop or USB "SD card reader", they can be found on Amazon for as low as $3. (built into most laptops)

Please note the microUSB port on the camera is a factory service port only. (not for transferring files) If you power the Panorama in your home or car via this microUSBport, new recordings won't start automatically. Only use the included 12v cigarette lighter port adapter charger for day to day use.

I was given some Amazon gift cards for Christmas and thought I'd use them for this, but it looks like the Amazon link price is slightly higher than the Pier28 link. Anyway around that?
