Does anybody know if this version has the possibility to plug in a gps?

the reason i'm asking is cos I have a broken unit & was thinking of buying a new one without gps
& then plug in the gps of the broken unit...

Have look on Blackvues website or Google it and look at a review. The answer is probably not

can't find any proper info about it. the cheaper version as no gps, nor wifi, but those
are just modules that you would plug into the main printboard...(?)

Probably soldered on not plugged in Why not just buy the good one and be done with it Wont have the LED's etc for the GPS Firmware will be different as well.

If you have a broken unit why not pull it apart and look at how its put together.

Seems like a logical way of finding out

I did pull it apart (that's how I broke it in the 1st place.. don't ask )

the gps is plugged into the main board. it seems logical that all mainboards are the same
and you just add features by plugging them into it.
(for instance there's another connection on the mainboard, but nothing's plugged in there...)

the price difference between the 2 is quite a bit so if I can re-use my gps this way i'll do it.
