DR500GW-HD, problems with new firmware (german version)

Hi everybody,

just downloaded new firmware v1.009G (with iLarry's help, I am not able to extract the software on my mac by myself...).

Until today I were using v1.008E without any problems, it worked very reliable!

So at first I formatted my SD-card via official SDFormatter (by SD corporation), as always.

Then I installed the new official german firmware v1.009G.

After starting my DR500, the following voice message appeared "Die Versionsinformation weicht ab" (what means: "The version information is different")

and then "BlackVue wird nun heruntergefahren" (what means: "The BlackVue is now shutting down").

Even after restarting the cam the problem was unsolved.

So I re-installed the old firmware again, everything is fine again.

What shall I do now to get the new (german) firmware?

You have changed the language so will have to do the edit of the "version bin" as described in the sticky at the top of this forum.

Follow the 8 point instruction I posted in the first reply and it should be ok

The only other way is to wipe the memory in the camera which must be done by Telnet and I have no idea how to do that but there are instructions in the threads somewhere

Hillbilly is right, I had exactly the same situation with changing from 1.008 Eng to 1.009 Rus.
So I just upgraded my DR500 from 1.008E to 1.009E (using most sounds switched off anyway )
