I have had this cam http://www.amazon.com/Separate-Rearview-Sticker-Protection-G-Sensor/dp/B00AZSZ0RU/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_1
for more than a week. Not too long to talk too much about it but enough to know it to be plug and play to install, use and sync with my Window 7 PC.

I use a 32gb class 10 and cannot see any jump between frames. I have no issues with the cam heating up due to high outside temps (90 F), but the attachment
connection from the holding bracket to the cam loosened up. I filed a couple of layers of electrical tape in the attachment hole, and that resolved that problem.

Here is my question: The front cam is 720p and the rear cam is VGA. Can I remove the rear VGA cam and substitute it by a 720P rear cam? is it software controlled, hardware controlled or both?

hardware limitation, replacing the rear cam wouldn't help
