Red power light, but dead Mini0803

Hello all.

I had posted up a couple of weeks ago when I got 2 of these for my wife and I. My post was about the cameras constantly blinking red/blue/red/blue.

Mine still does this but seems to be working and recording properly.

My wife's camera has a permanently lit red light when it's powered (regardless of whether it's powered through the mount or the camera directly.

Have tried it in my car also, same result. Also, my pc and Mac both will not recognize it when it's plugged into them.

I have held the power button on for 10 and 20 seconds continuously but nothing happens. Screen doesn't turn on nd no sounds either.

Any ideas? Or just ship back to place of purchase for replacement?

you can probably revive it using techniques described in that thread. requires buying wires or soldering if you have the right tools.

Yes saw that thread but I am not very technically mindedand it's only a 2 week old unit. Might be cheaper for me to post it back to supplier here in Oz

So you think it is bricked given what I have described?
