More than I can review. ;)
Thank you @GearBest for providing Firefly 6S action camera for review.
It is available at Gearbest here:

Conclusion: will update after tests.
PROS:
CONS: No status light on the back so hard to see if it's recording or not when used as a dashcam.
***********************************
Description:
This is the 1st action camera I am testing that has Gyro stabilization and can record 4k video.
It has NT96660 chip & Sony IMX078 CMOS illuminated sensor.
Product description mentions it can record videos at 1080P 60fps, 2K(2560 x 1440) 30fps and 4K (4096 x 2160)24fps (Edit: Actual 4k video recorded in Firefly 6S has 2880 x 2160p (some players show 3840 x 2160p) resolution).
Physically, it's same as 5S so buttons are same as 5S as well.
It has built in Wi-Fi that's great for setting the FOV angle as well as for live view monitoring.
You have to download Firefly app using the bar code in the product manual to use the Wi-Fi feature.
[Note: Wi-Fi doesn't work on 4k mode.]

Main features of 6S over 5S are 4k and gyro stabilization.
I've seen some sample videos with/without gyro and gyro videos are much smoother.

Firefly 6S Unboxing Video:

The Dashcam frame mount was not right on the package.
It was too loose and didn't lock the Firefly 6S as shown at the end of unboxing video.
The locking tab is not straight and is too open.
Hopefully, it's a defect on this unit and not a mass production issue.

Package contents:
The product box is much bigger than 5S as it comes with mounting accessories and waterproof housing:
1. Firefly 6S action camera.
2. Waterproof housing (30M).
3. Bunch of GoPro style mounting accessories like handlebar, belt clip, frame, AV out cable fro flying etc...
4. Product manual.

Firefly 6S Folders and Files:
Root folder has 'DV' folder.
DV has following sub-folders:
Movie: For videos.
Photo: For photos.

Both videos and photos have date and time in file names. Nice!

VBR and file size:
Windows file properties shows the 4K video has 24724Kbps (27.8 mbps) and 3840 x 2160p resolution.
39 seconds clip is around 118 mb in size and 47 seconds clip is around 143 mb in size so each second is little over 3 mb in size.
With that rate, 1 minute file will be around 182 mb in size.

Photos are 4608 x 3456p or 16mp sensor and around 4mb in size.

Firefly 6S Folders and Files.png

Photos from photo mode:
These are full size (4606x3456p) hosted outside DCT.
100% view has some grains and not sharp but viewing at smaller size looks fine.
There is an option to remove fisheye effect but that's not used for these pictures.
Pictures kinda look square compared to widescreen formats due to very high vertical pixels.

4. Against direct Sun and it handled it very good. Still can see fall colors and other things.

Video taken while walking on balcony with and without Gyro stabilization:

Gyro OFF:

Gyro ON:

Play them both here at the site (PC) and shaking is much smoother with Gyro ON.
1st video is around 4 secs ahead if you play together.

Gyro ON: Walking around holding the camera on hand.

Photos and videos are very good for near objects but not as sharp as I've seen with other cams for objects at little bit distance.
Everything little bit farther look little fuzzy.

Looks like new firmware is out that's supposed to improve Gyro stabilization.

4K (4096 x 2160)24fps.
Is that the actual resolution? That is cinema width 4K, not TV width so it will not fit correctly on a 4K TV or monitor!

TV 4K is 3840 x 2160 pixels so you should see this either with black bars top and bottom or squashed into the wrong aspect ratio, the YouTube video fills the screen...

It has quite nice autumn colours :)

Sorry, I put 4K's resolution from Firefly 6S product page:
Decode Format: H.264
Video Format: MOV
Video Resolution : 2K(2560 x 1440)30fps, 4K (4096 x 2160), 1080P (1920 x 1080), 720P (1280 x 720), VGA (640 x 480)
Video System: NTSC, PAL
Video Frame Rate: 120fps, 60fps, 30fps

However, that's not the resolution it records. :(
Windows properties shows 3840 x 2160p and this sounds/looks correct:
Windows file properties firefly 6s.PNG

Mediainfo shows the video as 2880 x 2160p.
It may not be able to go higher than that.

Ahh, that makes more sense, Mediainfo will be correctly giving you the number of pixels actually stored in the file, Windows is giving you the display size after it has added some interpolated pixels to get the video to the correct aspect ratio for viewing.

The GitUp Git2 uses the same sizes for its "4K" video.

Thanks.

Okay, it's more confusing.
I used VLC portable and 2880x2160p is what it shows for 4K but Potplayer screenshots still have 3840x2160p so looks like 2880p is interpolated to 3880p so windows properties was correct after all.
VLC media info shows this:
4K resolution: 2880x2178p. Display resolution: 2880x2160p
2.5K resolution: 2560x1442p. Display resolution: 2560x1440p
1080p 60fps resolution: 1920x1090p. Display resolution: 1920x1080p
1080p 30fps resolution: 1920x1090p. Display resolution: 1920x1080p

Firefly 6S Video Resolution and properties.png

the 4k sample on your bike showed up the proper resolution in vlc on my linux box - 38?? x 2178 from memory.
Okay, the video with parked bikes. ;)

All videos show up as 2880x2178 in VLC here.
Potplayer shows them as 3840x2160p. Why two players show different width, no idea.

It's simple math.
1080p is 1920x1080 so 4k should be double that both horizontal and vertical, i.e. 1920x2=3840 x 1080x2 =2160 but it's 2880x2160 instead.

What about the 4k video of flowers?

Sorry got confused.. I meant the video of someone riding a bike with the curly handlebars... On the git2 thread.

Sorry got confused.. I meant the video of someone riding a bike with the curly handlebars... Must have been Nigel.
What resolution do those 4k and 2.5k raw files have in your pc?

Also I edited my post... I w was thinking of Nigel or Niko's post on the git2, not this one. Sorry.

Can you specify @ which of my post ?
