Review - Vantrue E360 Ace & LT01 - 360° Dashcam & 4G LTE Module

There are two different hardwire kits that you can use to connect the E360 (or any Vantrue camera, really) to your car's battery: the VP03 and the VP05. Each has settings for protecting your car's battery so you don't walk out to a dead battery.

The VP05 has three different voltage settings for protecting your car's battery: 12.4v, 12.0v and 11.6v.

The VP03 has two voltage settings to protect your car's battery: 12.0v and 11.6v
You forgot the VP01, which has four voltage cutoff levels (11.6V, 11.9V, 12.2V & 12.5V) and 6No parking mode timer settings (1hr, 2hrs, 4hrs, 6hrs, 12hrs & 24hrs)

Ah, that's right. I don't have one of those. This one is probably the most flexible/useful because it has more settings for voltage AND the timer function. It might be interesting to build the parking timer functions from the hardwire kit into the dashcam itself. @Jeff_Vantrue

I'll have to look at the camera menus again, I'm not remembering what is there...

what would be the best parking configuration that balances the quality and quantity of captured information with consumption (with all three cameras)?

And with that recommended configuration, how long would it take the battery (Varta 12V, 70Ah, 760A(EN)) to reach the safety 11.9V or 11.6V?

NOTE: I have the hardwire kit, but I can't install it yet.

If you don't want to miss anything then you should go with low bitrate recording and all channels active.
The interior lens can capture some interesting things.

In my car that has a 8 year old 80Ah battery, I get between 8-10h with parking mode. HW kit set to 11.8V or 12V
But I switched to a dedicated dashcam battery a while ago.
 
I agree with recommending low bitrate parking mode. The low power parking mode takes too long to wake up to be useful.

Sorry I don't know how to calculate the parking duration from a car battery.

Well, on second thought, a dash cam that only records reliably for about 8 or 10 hours isn't very useful.

I use the camera for short parking spots, but also when I'm on vacation, etc., and the car may be parked for more than a full day. The possibility of the battery dying or the hardware kit shutting it down isn't very reassuring and makes it almost useless.

The option of an additional dedicated battery is a good idea, but it will likely significantly increase the cost of the camera. Can you tell us which dedicated battery you purchased?

Pues pensándolo bien, que una cámara de salpicadero que solo te sirve para realizar una grabación segura de unas 8 ó 10 horas pues no sirve de mucho.

Utilizo la cámara para estacionamientos cortos, pero también cuando estoy de viaje de vacaciones, etc y el coche puede estar aparcado incluso más de un día entero y la posibilidad de que se agote la batería o que el HW kit la apague, pues no tranquiliza mucho y la hace casi inservible.

La opción de un batería adicional dedicada es buena idea, pero seguramente incrementa significativamente el coste de la cámara. ¿Puedes decirnos qué batería dedicada compraste?

There are several "dashcam" dedicated batteries that are available. They tend to be priced around $300. There are also some additional options that are less expensive ($100-150) and provide greater flexibility and more battery capacity. Check out the following thread (start at the end and work backwards). I believe the present "favorite" is an EcoFlow River3 power station.

I dont think so, the insta studio seem very much tailored to their own products.
BUT ! i have used it for some regular dashcam stuff and it have worked, but i have also seen footage the studio APP would not load.

Got 0 experience with 360 cameras. I have the ace pro camera from insta.
