Wow , looks like there has been more price drops ..
Just picked up a Samsung EVO+ 64GB ..
So hit Ebay to see what is what price wise ...
Looks like you can pick up decent(?) cards from $20 Bananas ... ( Toshiba - ADATA - Kingston ) dont know about counterfeit though ( a possibility ) .
And the cheapest 64GB card ? $7.60 ( ok - I have tested budget cards before and they simply cant sustain the needed write speed and corrupt .. )
Ok possibly for data storing and reading , but this is a dashcam forum after all ...

Lets not forget the cam is only as good as the card written too ... And lots of people seem to have Micro SD card issues ... So far the Samsung EVO cards have been brilliant for me ... ( Why I purchased a EVO+ to play with )

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/401111586765 $6.45 ozzi ( bananas )

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/381611449096 $6.95 ozzi

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141817797002 $7.60 ozzi

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121586657084 $19.48 ozzi

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/301860029452 $19.89 ozzi

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/301532887381 $20.79 ozzi

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121902213106 $20.90 ozzi

Now I would not mind testing one of these cards , Sandisk - Toshiba - Adata or Kingston ..
Or one of the budget cards ( probably fail at sustained write in a cam )

So if you want a card tested let me know , I think I can spare 20 ozzi bananas for the need to know !

I personally wouldn't buy from eBay unless it is a trusted seller (e.g., eBay via Adorama, Best Buy, Buydig, Newegg etc.). Or buy on Amazon that is sold directly from Amazon, not any 3rd party sellers.

I picked up a few of the Samsung EVO 64gb cards on Amazon.
(under $20 US)

Do you know the primary reason I like them?

They're orange and white, much easier to find on the black rubber covered floor of my truck when I drop the XA@! things!

:)

(Otherwise they are working well.)

Here's what a real Samsung EVO and adapter look like.

Samsung have just released their 256GB Evo Plus microSD so I expect the smaller cards will all drop in price a bit.

I have a few Ebay sellers ( local ) that sell the good stuff ( SD cards ) ..
I have purchased 2 x 32GB cards for around $6 ozzi bananas , and they do appear to be genuine 32GB cards ..
One I gave away with a cam , and the other I still have ...
They cant maintain a sustained write in a cam and corrupt , but for storing data and reading from , seem ok . ( not suitable for use with dashcams )
I got one just for the heck of it , and to see what sort of ju-ju it was .
I know some cards are being sold as 32GB or larger , and there is some sort of hack that makes the card appear to be as stated but is really undersized ..

Coincidence or not, yesterday I was at the local Worten store looking for something else and took the opportunity to check the card's prices. My jaw dropped!
(All prices are in euros)

- 64GB
PNY Class 10 microSD: 23,99
Integral Ultima Pro microSDXC: 25,99
Toshiba Exceria microSDXC: 27,99
Lexar Class 10 microSDXC: 29,99
Kingston Class 10 microSDXC: 39,99
Samsung Evo+ microSDXC: 41,99

- 128GB
PNY 80MB/s: 59,99
Kingston 45MB/s: 79,99

- 200GB
SanDisk ANDR600X 90MB/s: 99,99

Not so long ago the cheaper 64GBs were well over 50€ and the 128GBs were around 90€!

Of all the 64GB listed, which one do you think has the best value for money? I've read good things about the PNYs, and at that price it's a real bargain, but for only 6€ more I could buy the Lexar.

Based on my experience I'd go with the PNYs as I've never had a failure - but that's just my experience.

Also, PNY does not exclude dash cam use in their warranty.

From my experience all from ebay are fake.
