I am using a 64GB SD Card on my Dash Cam; recently I have noticed that after a few days the card is full.
The Camera is set to loop every three minutes, and the Dash Cam is set to record at 1080p HD.
Previously it stored recordings for up to three or four weeks.
I use the vehicle about once a week, two hours driving at most each time.
Does anyone know what can be the cause?

I am using a 64GB SanDisk High Endurance SD Card

assuming the card is genuine it's unlikely to be the card at fault, you might find a 32GB card to be more reliable in this model

Thank you for your response.
I believe that the card is genuine
Maybe I would try the 32GB

You also never stated what dash cam you had but if it has the g force detector or impact detector on, it could be locking several emergency files from being overwritten and has started to fill the card. Impacts such as opening and closing the door coukd set it off. I would suggest reformatting the card. If it use to hold that amount it couldn't hurt to try that step first.

Not familiar with that cam, but, yes, check for 'locked' files and make sure it's set on 'loop'

2 hours driving time per week would give you about 3-4 weeks of coverage if it's not 'looping'. Card fills up, no more new recordings.

Check the settings for 'loop', 'gforce', 'parking', etc, and also for a locked file folder on the card.

If the settings are off, and you just format the card, you're back to where you started in 3-4 weeks.

The Dash Cam is set to loop at 3 minute intervals, .
and I did reformat the card to no avail.

Did you take it out of cam to reformat or reformat in the camera? If in the camera remove and format in a computer. You also never stated if G sensor was turned off.

Thank you for your response.
I had reformatted on the camera and the G sensor is turned off.
I just reformatted it using the PC.
I would check it in a few days and see .

I just read the following on the FAQ on the Aukey site:

AUKEY 1080P STEALTH DASH CAM DR02 FAQ

How long will the dash camera record?
It depends on the size of your SD Card.
These times below are estimates and can be varied depending on the amount of ambient
light or other factors. Please note that our Dash Cams will do loop recording:

128GB micro-SD card: About 20 hours of continuous 1080p video
64GB micro-SD card: About 10 hours of continuous 1080p video
16GB micro-SD card: About 4.5 hours of continuous 720p video

So with a 32gig you should at least get about 8hrs

Thank you for your response.
I am recording at 1080P HD
Therefore according to the Aukey guidelines
I should be getting ten hours of recording with my 64GB SD Card.
If I switch to 720P I should get about twenty hours of recording. But I'd rather not do that.
