Talk about Stupid , this guy (?) belongs in the Encyclopedia Britannica ( Under - Really Stupid )

Once again ! Some Tripod does not want to use the breaks !
Rather mounts the footpath and loses control and slams into a post hopefully excluding himself from any breeding programs .. Honestly , do we want this STUPID in the gene Pool ?
Some Breeder popped him out of the easy bake oven , that's a given ...

Why is applying the breaks so "Parking" hard ?

I think that should be an A+ or A++ grade. After all, these grades represent efficiency, don't they? 😀

Where I live there have been several incidents like this in the last several years where it seems as if the driver appeared to have been drunk or just incredibly stupid. In one case it was a heart attack, in another the driver went into insulin shock. There was another case involving someone I knew personally; a neighbor and really nice fellow. He was driving an oil delivery truck one morning when he suddenly accelerated for no reason and drove off the road, down a rocky embankment and ended up upside down in a river. He was killed. They did an autopsy and found nothing wrong with him. He apparently just passed out or fell asleep at the wheel. Nobody really knows.

These kind of videos increasingly annoy me because everybody often sits around in holier-than-though judgement without knowing the real facts of what may have actually happened. This passes for entertainment nowadays. 🙁

Edit: Oh yeah, there was another incident I forgot to mention. A car leaving the local hospital driveway entrance suddenly accelerated across the road, ran up someone's lawn and went right through the wall of a house. It was a doctors office and it sure freaked out everyone in the waiting room, as well as the nice FedEx driver lady I know who told me she was at the front door with a package when this happened but luckily nobody got hurt. Again, it was insulin related. It was a big old fashioned Cadillac and I remember being amazed to see the back of the car sticking out of a huge hole in the house when I drove by.

My opinion aside from medical mishaps are cell phones! I see people doing things that make goose bumps raise up on your body🙁 all because they know that driving and using a cell phone is OK for them because they are such great drivers🙄😱😡.

Agree completely! I posted about an encounter with a cell phone idiot crossing my path just a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly, just yesterday, I got two separate requests to license the YouTube rights for the video. Trying to decide about it as it seems weird that suddenly two different parties want the video.

I am of the opinion that people should learn the difference between the brake and accelerator before they venture on to a road.
And certainly before they take their driving test.

Funny enough, all of a sudden I also got requests to license many of my old videos, from some newsflare.com or whatever. 🤔

I've been seeing a rash of infomercials with names like "Most shocking car crashes" or something similar that were trying to sell cheap looking, but not so cheap dashcams. I wonder if the requests are from one of those?

if he was trying to show off his drifting skills he was way off, not only for crashing into that pole, but even if he managed to not hit that he would have hit the cars on the other side of the intersection.

BUT ! to be honest i think it was just a rude awakening from browsing facetwitt while driving.

Breaks ... +++++
Brakes ... ------
🙂

I see a lot of video ( maybe too much ) and in a lot of them there is no attempt to brake/slow down before imminent impact ( when its too late ) .
What is it with that ? It's not a rare incident , but becoming a very common occurrence .
It matters not who is in the right or wrong , but many seem simply intent on crashing . There seems to be a prevailing FU attitude , even if it kills !
Perhaps that movie should have been " Death race 2017 "

So where is this attitude coming from ? ( TV , Movies , Gooberment , School , ?? or all of the above ) Has FU snowballed into a monster ? and is it going to get much worse ?
Because in the last 30 years , it's gone to ##@!#$% on the roads . ( And the minister for transport thinks everything is OK )

Crashes caused by medical issues are rare in younger folk with P-plates but do happen 😉 Crash vids are more 'entertainment' than anything else and I think we all understand that there may be other causes, but most of the time these crashes truly are from stupidity so I'm OK with that being the premise here 🙂 If it becomes known that a medical issue was the cause I'm sure old4570 will edit his post accordingly 😎 I have a youngish nephew who recently managed to total 2 cars in one week, both times through stupidity 🙁 He is the one family member who will never be driving any of my vehicles 🙄

Hmmm , medical conditions !
This means people have to be even more careful ..
Some people suffer from seizures , they are simply not permitted to drive or do anything that may endanger others ( work etc )
I understand some people , fall asleep , pass out (?) , panic , or have some sort of medical - health issue .

A lot of these medical conditions are a result of " STUPID " , people forget to take their meds , or they know they should not be driving - but do .
I understand that some incidents are not premeditated , folks did not go out to be stupid or deadly ..

But due to negligence or just plain old stupid , stuff happens . Some times not of our own making ...

Story time :

I had a friend a long time ago ( work ) and he had a really nice worked car ( V8 ) .
Anyhow he vanished one day , didn't see him for a month ..

When he came back to work he had a story to tell ...
His friend had driven his car to work at the end of the shift so that they could go somewhere for the week end ( car meet or something )
On the way ( not that far from work - Nissan Datsun Factory ) they passed some cute girls , my friend was driving and his friend was hanging out the window yelling at the cute girls ..
Apparently he yelled something along the lines of " Watch this girls "
He then promptly pulled the hand brake ...

The result of which was the loss of control of the car and the immediate impact on a power pole ! and a two week stay in hospital !

In that instance the driver was not at fault , but rather the Retard in the passenger seat ... ( Always remember - Stuff can happen )

Yeah i knew a guy that had seizures, suffering from that,,,,, dunno english name but you get seizures ever so often.

Problem was he liked drinking and smoking weed too, both things that amp the chance of a seizure when you have that disease.
Anyway his driving history ended when he got one of those seizures while driving, mounted the curb / sidewalk, flattened a phone-booth, crossed the road and crashed in the now upside down car thru the front window of a florist.

Right here.
There use to be a phone booth where the pole are or close to that, and the white building on the right on the other side of the road in the background use to be a florist.

I have witnessed a few seizures , and they are not pretty ! ( Epilepsy ? )
During exams ( High school ) one of the girls in my class had a seizure .. Foaming at the mouth even ! ( now that was stressful to see I have to tell you - never mind the exams )
Not sure if it was a stress related seizure or some form of epilepsy ( It can be mild to wild ) ..
A lot of people can hurt themselves ( epileptic fit ) as they flail about , I saw one such incident once and the guy was lucky he was with his friends .. They held him down and supported his head ..

I am not sure , but I think the treatment is much better now than say 30 years ago .. ( Better meds )

If it were me making that decision I would not give it to either party, and walk away from that one.

One of them was from an outfit called DDS TV which claims to be "Unarguably the best crash channel there is". They appear to really be a dash cam retailer called USADashcams that uses crash videos for promotion. The message I received was a bit odd in that it mentioned a different video of mine than the one the actual video was linked to and failed to provide adequate contact info. The other was from Newsflare and was more straightforward. A guy simply introduced himself, said that he works for a licensing agency saying they were interested. He provided contact info along with a friendly request to contact him. Their web site was interesting in that they offer assignments and reminded me a little of some of the photo agencies I've worked with. They seem to have an actual legitimate business model and a presence outside of YouTube. Their web site provides a lot of detailed information about who they are, how it works, who they work for such as news and media organizations, licensing information, etc.
