Hi all,

I picked up a SG9665GC v2 via Amazon very recently after buying a Nextbase 512G and finding the internal battery dead straight out of the box. I picked the SG9665GC due to the capacitor, loads of great reviews and obvious excellent customer service.

General operation of the cam is fantastic, it's neat and tidy, inconspicuous enough to leave it in the car 24/7 and everything I wanted really, my only gripe is that the picture quality is well...noisy? I'd definitely rate it below the quailty of the 512G, expecially at night. I'm flashed the firmware to the latest version, ensured the lens is clean and fitted the polarising filter but to no avail. Anything I can do to improve things a little?

All the other videos I've seen look really crisp and clean, whereas mine just seem noisy. For some reason the firmware update has removed the text on the video as well? Is there a problem or am I being picky?

Attached are screenshots of day stationary (Which is great), day moving (meh) and night moving (why bother :p)

Thanks in advance!

Can you share original file please. You can use droobox, mega.nz etc.

that is not what is expected after updating the firmware as the default settings would have all the OSD text on with the exception of the speed display which is off by default, might be an idea to reload the firmware as a starting point

Hi guys,

I may have narrowed down one problem. I played the video back in a different media player and the text appeared! So this may be a codec problem on playback. Only thing is the time is wrong. I thought it pulled the time and date from the GPS?

Here are the samples. I chopped them down to 1 minute vids to cut down on upload times.

if the time is wrong check your timezone settings in the menu, default setting is +10, you're probably need GMT 0 or +1 depending on season

What software did you use to cut video clips ? Tech.data of video clips are not what usually GC has.
Please use Registrator Viewer if you want to merge or cut video clips, or best please upload full length clips (3 min ? ) to avoid any unintentional editing ( data loss ).
