Which accessories do you plan for the sj7 Star pkg.?
Your remote, which appears to be at least 3 meters waterproof, and like Git 2 allows to turn off the cam, and unlike the Yi 2nd.gen., which has the same old tired, non-waterproof, remote control!
I'd love to see "smart "remote controls like Sony and GoPro have.
I am pretty sure the included accessories will be similar to those of the SJ6 Legend (thread on this forum).

The remote is optional and is waterproof and can power off the camera. We will put in a request for smart remotes but that may be later next year. I'd love to see it too! Thanks for your input :)

Which color banner SJ6 Legend banner do you guys like better?

This is the camera I think we've all been waiting for. But where's the 24p. You can't have real 4K then leave off the 24p. If you now have true 4K and an external microphone this is definitely the camera you want to include 24p on. With real 4K and 24p this could be a solid camera for indie filmmakers. I use these small cameras all the time. Aside from the lack of 24p the rest of the specs look pretty good! Really curious about the image and I'm glad you're adding touch screens. It's so handy.

We will be uploading footage from these three cameras for comparison. Please remember that the SJ6/SJ7 are still only prototype and won't release until late October. This means firmware will be adjusted. some of the footage will be identical so you can do side by side comparisons.

Of more interest is the compression codecs to be used and the bit rates at each resolution.

There's also the question of glass. The Yi 4K uses Schott B270i ultra white on it's waterproof housing and has what is stated to be a 7 element lens (presumably of the same).

From what I've seen so far, there's nothing to touch the Yi4K for image quality atm.

This is something someone would have to test. I am not sure exactly to test bitrate. Regarding Yi4k, the cam i have has a white screen when it comes to taking images. We do have comparison video though.

I don't know how to test it, but the Yi website states 4k at 60mbs @ 30fps.

The ultra white I mention above refers to the clarity of the glass not the screen. B270i glass doesn't suffer the green tinge that most glass does. It's designed to be ultra clear and very light transmissive. More information here:

A similar product is Pilkington Optiwhite.

Okay, i am not sure about this. We do have comparison footage:

SJ7 Blog

Hi, sjcam

I have some questions about the SJ7 from a "motorcycle user" point of view...
  1. Is the input for external mic miniusb?
  2. Does it record sound from both sides? If so, does it work with any miniusb microphone or only with the sjcam mic?
  3. Will it accept 3.5 microphones with a "miniusb to 3.5" audio adapters? If so, will they work on stereo also? (No matter if it's a GoPro adapter or a cheap ebay cable?)
  4. Will the camera fit on GoPro housings? (I only care about the shutter button :D)
  5. Will it accept GoPro accesories?
  6. Will SJCAM release different packs (few accessories vs full set)
  7. Have you done battery life tests?
  8. What's the estimated price and release date?
That for now.

1. Mini USB for SJ7
2. Not sure if work with any other MIC
3. Not sure
4. it will not fit other company's housings
5. It will come with full set of accessories. Fits some gopro accessoires, like helmet mount and etc
6. Only one pack now (full set of accessories)
7. I don't have exactly battery data here, but as we wrote on User manaual, it will record 65mins to 90mins(With WiFi)

Hopefully, this helps :)

If this has been asked of you before,I'm sorry: Can the internal mic. be turned low, high, and off?
Is your superView like Gopro's similar name for an image aspect ratio which combines a 4:3 with 16:9 taller appearance?
And ,finally, will you make available a waterproof case?
P.S. I would like to know the cams bitrates!

What type of LCD is on the front of the SJ6? Is it an OLED or something else?
