It seems that every camera or accessory that Gopro ever sold was somewhat overpriced! It 's about time competition reined the company in . We know competition is healthy-lower prices,better quality- and hated by large corporations! Now with firmware v 1.55, Hero 5 owners find that their aftermarket batteries won't power on their cams!

Could someone that has one measure this part of the waterproof case? (See attached) I'm curious to see how different it is than the go pro hero4 case.

I know its been said that its unlikely that go pro filters will fit the case, but will SJCam produce their own filters for underwater video or sunny conditions in the snowy mountains or off a lake? I plan on taking my SJ7 skiing and diving.

I to would like to know if any of my filter adapters for Gopro, Yi2, and Git will fit

HI! I ordered 7star on banggood. They marked it as shipped. I even have tracking however it does not update for 6 days. It says it was shipped Jan 8. What could they ship to me? If it is a test sample or something like this.. What will be the difference betweem test sample and the cameras which will be shipped in February? Only the firmwear? Thanks!

FYI, I just received an answer from a distributor of the Star on Ebay who told me that they had only received 20 units , but expected another shipment on January the 19 th.They are described as an authorized distributor of the Star.
It seems some sellers have been in the dark!
I saw a comment on DCT that shipments would not start until January the 15 th!

Hello,

The hardware will be the same. You will just have to update your firmware once you receive the camera and then everything will be fine. They may have shipped out the slowest method possible. Hope you receive you SJ7 soon 🙂
 
This and the Vico MF3 appear to me to be the leading Cams now. Just hope someone independent with both can put up a comparison video. I know some will say the SJ is an action cam and the Vico MF3 is a car cam, but the fact is whilst you can't use a car cam as an action cam, you can use an action cam as a car cam if you want to. Both these cameras seem to have some serious video quality within the current crop of cameras. MF3 particularly impressive at night although I've not seen the Sj at night in fairness.
 
The SJ should preform worse at night as it have many more smaller pixels.
I an not aware if it can bin up 4 sensor pixels to make 1 in the footage, that would off course compensate for the smaller pixels on a 4 K sensor.
