There has been an increase of thefts in my local area recently.
I am looking for a cam with Motion detect and wifi so I can remote view footage.
My location is Southern Australia so we cop frosty mornings in winter and 40deg periods in summer.
Ebay is my usual source for gadgets

When I search "dash cam motion wifi" I get a generic Chinese model

Sound like you will be better off with one of the little security cameras like dropcam and all the other similar small security cameras.
They will have a build in SD card for storage, and wifi over witch you can control / set up camera and preview the footage too.
And not least IR light so you have a fighting chance in low light.

By remote view - Just being able to access dash cam to check or download using phone or laptop.
I still want the dash cam general functions rather than a security camera
