The VUEROiD S1 4K Infinite Has Arrived

AI Privacy and Weather Test

We have had rain for a few days, on and off. The video demonstrates effective results in capturing and blurring out license plates, even in rainy weather.

Amazingly, the Plate AI works pretty well in the rain, too. I'm surprised the AI learning is that advanced to detect plates with other distractions (rain droplets) in the FOV.

I am wondering if the rain mean processing / blurring the plates take longer VS just a regular nice day drive.

I noticed it seemed like the process took a minute or so longer. Not sure if that was due to the rain or to cars on the side of the road, or cars approaching.

we will change the firm ware for accepting your request : ( control Vueroid mark (left-bottom). But the priority is not so high , it will take time , Maybe 1 or 2 months later...
ok if can change the stamp colour. that more good
vueroid app is use more blue colour
so myabe the logo in the left top and bottom can be blue?

ok i want use this
so which u post i can learn
i donot know how to open this function

Same.. The main factor that affects it is the length of the file.
Is the number plate blurring done in real-time? That's crazy good if it is.

Is it possible to have the opposite and increase clarity of the license plates?

in realtime : No .. not realtime, it's done by server after user upload footage using Hub app or PC/Mac viewer .
opposite and increase clarity : um, it just increase the clarity , opposite license plate clarity is case by case .

I am using the Mac viewer for these AI privacy tests. Like any new software tool, we need to sit and play with it a bit. The program is easy to use; select the Video Editor, drag and drop the file, answer any questions, and let it process the video.
The file must be a Vueroid video file. I have tried video files from other dashcam companies, and they did not work. The AI Privacy process does strip out the sound, though. I am not sure why that is, but I have asked about this just this weekend.

As for the License Plate enhancement, the answer is Yes. The U.S. plates are a little more problematic due to their small size, and they are usually quite reflective. That fact is noted to the user as they use the AI Plate enhancement feature. The larger European plates, or any license plate larger than the U.S. plates, should AI process quite well.

why s1 4k donot have voice control?
like open WiFi open screen etc

The S1-4K is a new addition to the Vueroid family, with a focus on video file reliability, hardware reliability, and software security. Features like Voice Command or Voice Control are excellent additions, but not necessary for a dashcam to perform its intended job. However, Voice Control has been recommended for addition to the S1-4K; I am unsure of its placement on the production timeline, if at all. I will see what I can find out about the feature.

like voice control: take a photo
that very. good function

we are preparing Voice control for next line up . I'm not sure we will add that function to S1 series.
When we were planning the S1(about 1 and half years ago) , we didn't consider about it. If user stronly request the voice control , we may add it.

Julian .... here is another video of the Vueroid S1-4K AI license plate blurring. This is a very impressive example of AI plate blurring.

I was impressed that the software blurred even half a plate as a vehicle was entering the field of view.

Maybe the software identifies the vehicle and knows where to apply the blur patch, or it analyses lots of frames then retrospectively applies the blurring. Whatever the process, it seems to work well.

Indeed! I've noticed the same thing about how quickly the plates are blurred on a car approaching from the rear. I guess that there is either a 'first run' analysis that identifies objects to be blurred, followed by a second run that blurs those objects. Or perhaps there is a move forward, identify objects, then back up and blur the object, then move forward again. I really have no idea, but it did fascinate me how well the Vueroid AI system is blurring plates on approaching vehicles.

What surprises me is not only does the software know what to blur (license plates), but it is trained not to blur unnecessary objects. For instance, the gas station sign is also rectangular with Numbers but is left unblurred. Therefore, the AI is quite intuitive and accurate per the tests @lufa6977 has run thus far.

@lufa6977 you said that you do the AI edit by selecting a file in the video editor then answering a few questions. Do those questions include your location, so that the software knows what type of licence plate to look for in your region?

I will be testing the S1-4K in the UK. I am curious to see if the software can tell the difference between regular licence plates and taxi identification plates.

If I were to venture a guess, both are going to be blurred as the AI will have difficulty differentiating between the two plates. It may be a case where the AI will need trained to ignore small rectangular plates and a "region setting" be selected. That's my initial guess.
