Uploading from iPhone to text message

So I downloaded a 5 min video from the camera to my iPhone. I edited it to a 30 sec video. I’ve tried text messaging or emailing the 30 sec clip. Will not work.
I have to screen record it, then it works.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Maybe still above the limitation?
Give it a try to record a short video, about 10 seconds-long only and then share it directly within the APP!

Did you manage to download to your iPhone over wifi. If so I'd like to know how.
