Sorry, I know it's a silly question, how does the camera detect motion in Parking Mode? It has nothing to do with the G-sensor, right?
 
This is so, the G-sensor is otherwise called a shock or acceleration sensor, and the motion detector is a function, its operation is based on changes in pixels on the image that falls on the image sensor through the lens
 
motion detection in parking mode will decide if the camera records, and G-sensor will call camera to protect the recorded video(s)
