V2.0 Firmware for Public Testing

@viofo @VIOFO-Support I am getting a following error when I try to use the new beta IOS app with firmware VIOFO_A329S_V2.0_251027. It works perfectly with the the old IOS app though. Am I doing anything wrong?

You need to click "connect manually" and then find the camera wifi SSID in your WIFI list to connect. You can refer to this video:

Ive been doing some testing with the A329T on V2.0 and HK4 hardwire kit.
Initially it didn't recognize HK4 hardwire so I could not select hybrid parking. I had to wait some time.

This worked well for about a day.
I once put the vehicle in accessory mode to roll the windows up (vehicle was not running). Then turned accessory off, it stopped recording parking mode.
I had to unplug and plug back in the USBC. It started recording in low bitrate, but continued to record in parking mode while driving.
I've now come across another issue where it will not recognize parking mode and continue to record non stop, bypassing the geofencing feature.
It seems that the hardwire kit has not been installed to the proper fuses. It is better to change another ACC fuse to connect the yellow cable to test.

I tried 2 different ACC empty fuses and tapped into those.
I confirmed they have power with a multimeter, at the fuse tap when plugged in, then at the crimp location down the ACC line.

A329T camera only turns on when the BATT fuse is plugged in and goes straight to recording.
What am I missing? Can anyone confirm if HK4 will power on with only the ACC line plugged in?
I guess I can try that tomorrow.

As a side note, in the past when I've plugged in my A119 mini 2 I've had similar parking detection issues. This is when it was plugged into a power bank via usbC.
It sometimes would go into parking mode others not.. In that case there was no HK4 so how does it determine parking mode? GPS?

All three wires must be connected properly for the kit to function correctly.

If you are using an empty fuse slot, are you sure you have the tap orientated correctly (assuming you only have one fuse in the tap)?

To power on the camera, the battery fuse shall be plugged in. The ACC fuse just for giving signal to the camera convert between driving mode and parking mode. For the A119mini2 you mentioned, since you have not installed the hardwire kit, the camera will only enter the parking mode after five minutes of inactivity, but it is not stable since strong changes or lights may trigger the camera as a movment.

Thanks for the feedback. I took extra precaution to check the fuse tap is plugged in the right orientation. I will double check it once more. On this matter, should there be 2 fuses plugged into the tap? Or can it work with one? If one only should it be top or bottom?

My method is to keep vehicle off, check ACC power. Turn ACC on and then check ACC. I know the unit sees 12v as I check it at the crimp location down the line. Eliminating any fuse / tap variables.

Interesting enough today, the vehicle went into parking recording mode sometime after I left the vehicle (2 hour later) I tried to go into the settings and couldn't due to taking pics/ locking video due to G sensor. So I unplugged USBC. Plug back in. My parking setting was only set to 30 mins low bit rate. I plugged it back it and it just kept recording normally in 4k. I waited 10 minutes and still didn’t enter parking mode but records as if the vehicle is on ACC (responds to voice commands etc). It seems that the system needs some time to recognize it.

If your using an empty fuse slot (and the slot as actually active), then you only need a fuse in the top slot (furthest from the 2 prongs). However, with only one fuse in the top slot, then the tap needs to be orientated correctly.

How are you checking for ACC power? A meter at the fuse box?

Yes that’s how I have it now. The single fuse at the top (furthest from prongs). Acc on I see 12V at the fuse tap. Acc off it reads 0 at the fuse tap.

I check with a multimeter at the fuse box. I used to check at the fuse tap but now I’m checking down the ACC line where the viofo fuse taps come with a crimp adapter. I check at the crimp location. In case something is not connected properly.

Would it be worthwhile to use my a power supply and connect it to ACC 12v. On/ off to see what it does.

If you connect both red and yellow wires to an ACC fuse, the camera should shut off within a few seconds of the car shutting off (assuming that fuse isn't on some kind of computer delay).

You can also start your car, let the camera power on normally, then after about 30 seconds, manually pull the fuse tap for the yellow wire out of the fuse box and see what happens. If you don't have the parking mode delay on in the settings, then the camera should enter parking mode within a few seconds.

First of all thank you everyone who helped out. I am about to go on a little bit of a rant. I will like to start out by saying I am very frustrated.
I spent a little over 3 hours trying to solve this issue. I tore up the front of my car and took out the fuses, cables, A pillar cover, cut zip ties etc.
I brought over my power supply to better control the BATT and ACC

First thing I tried was to power on the car and unplug acc after 30 seconds. Nothing happened.
I check ACC and BATT terminals in car and everything looked normal for the 8th time.

I busted out the power supply, same thing. It does not go into parking mode. Over a dozen tries and I couldn't get it to work.
The HK4 comes with a right angle USBC plug (why??), that makes wiring messy for me. So I used a straight USB female to male cable in my A pillar and routed it up to the center.
I believed that may be an issue so I removed that as well. Nothing changed.

The A329T was shipped to me last week and I noticed it had firmware V2.0 which is still in beta. Initially I thought that was bold of them.
Back of my mind was wondering if the firmware was not flashed properly. Something told me to go back a version.
So I flashed the latest "stable" firmware (V1.2_250708).
And guess what, it worked perfectly, first with my power supply then with my fuses plugged back in.
I tried it over a dozen times back and forth between ACC on and off.. Worked every single time.
I would like to emphasize again that I am very frustrated after all that work.

I will re-iterate a big bug that turns off parking mode in the A329 series. If you plug the USBC unit in and the vehicle is not ON ACC it turns off parking mode.
You have to either plug it in with ACC on or turn it back on manually.

I will try to flash the V2.0 tomorrow and see if it was a bad flash or what. Part of me doesn't want to try it anymore.
But I do like some of the newer features like geo-fencing.

@VIOFO-Support I just tested your latest update FWA329T released on Dec4th. Everything works well, parking recording with the HK4 is good.
Geofencing seems to work great as well.
Good job on the quick turn around!

Eh? What actual FW version does the camera say it is?
I have not seen any new posts here to indicate a new FW in a while.
The link to a GoogleDrive the latest beta 2.0 firmware is dated Oct 28 as posted
And cam shows A329T_V2.0_251027

I cant post the link on here for some reason, Beta V2 it had todays date 20251204
The link is on the first page of this thread, their link.
Can you confirm you see it?

@Karagandinez

Just out of curiosisty how were you able to get that google drive link. When I go to the VIOFO site under blogs, the old V2 updates are there but not the ones you have been able to post. I am very apprciative but just wondering why it would not be updated on their blog where they normally would post the latest V2 updates.

Thanks in advance.

Seems VIOFO updated the OP post on here with the link. Before updating there own site. Makes sense. Have it limited releases for testers here before more board release on thier own site blog thing.

With the new update something strange is happening that I had not seen since when I bought the dashcams when they first came out.

My setup is 329S with internal camera using viofo branded 256 SD card and hooked up to the SSD drive. I use hybrid parking mode so parking videos goes onto the SD card. On both of the Dash cam for the first time each of them have given me Slow Card notice when coming out of the parking mode and the only way to make it go away is to unplug it and leave it alone for a minute and put it back on. It has happened 3 times in the last 3 weeks since the new update.

Another issue that I had with one of them is that the Dashcam simply would not power up even though it was hardwired in. I had to take it out and plug in a USB C power cord to the cigarette lighter and then it came back on. I then put it on the windshield and thenit continues working.

The slow card message is the first time that has happened on both of them since it was updated to the V2. I was wondering if anyone else expriencing this issue.
My SSD drive is the Samsung T7 2 TB which is what they had orginally recomended. Having said that I have not encountered any issues with the SSD card at all.

I would rely only on the SSD card but I would like to use the Hybrid parking mode and as you know you cannt use the SSD card with Hybrid mode. So, kinda between a rock and a hard place.

BTW, when it gives me the slow card message there are no audible warnings or any sound that it is not recording. That part is disturbing because if you dont pay attention or if the dashcam is not visiable then hard to know.

Let me know know if you have faced this issue and if so what is the solution if any at this point in time.

Thanks

This particular post seems really quite. I have 3 of the 329 S in different cars. I have updated to the 12/4/25 firmware. I love the new features but I have run into issues with now almost weekly random Card error. Even though I am using all Viofo branded 256GB cards with SSD drives as well hard wired in.

I am seriously at this point contemplating of going back to the 6/13/25 firmware or the current one that is on the support website for the dashcams. I was not having those issues previously.

I am just curious if anyone else is having issues like mine. I have one of the cameras that just shuts off for no reason and not because of battery issues and will not turn on. The only way I have been able to get that one to come on is by usb C input in the cigarette lighter and pressing the hard reset button multiple times on the side of the dash cam.

On another one, without making any noise at all, all the little lights by the buttons flash simultneously. I just have to power it off by taking it off and then putting it back on.

I wasn't experiencing any of these issues before the update.

But, given the fact that everyone is quiet on this issue, I wonder if it is unique to me. On the other hand all 3 of them, statistically that would be difficult to accept.

Again, just curious if anyone else has had any issues with the beta firmware update? I hate to raise this issue because I do love the new features but if its going to cause the dashcam not to work then it doesn't make sense to update it.

Thanks
