V2.0 Firmware for Public Testing

First, we suggest upgrading the firmware to the latest V2.0 20260104 version.

We are checking how to optimize the parking recording to avoid overheating and provide limited parking recording protection.
We can let the camera switch to impact-only recording while it overheats. When it starts up next time by impact, it can check the vehicle voltage or BP100 capacity.
If the chipset temperature is low and the voltage or battery pack capacity doesn't meet the specified value, the dashcam will continue recording.
Cache firmware means the app will save the firmware, while you plan to upgrade the firmware, the app will transfer the file to the camera, no need to download the firmware.
Heating problem in every camera?
first high bitrate.. then low bitrate..
We solved the heating problem..
This math is always the same.
Unfortunately, you could not fulfill your promise.
New camera work without fixing the problems of a camera.. and then limitations with the beta app..

Users will not like these. viofo is not the old viofo.

Does anybody have a link for the A329T_V2.0_260104 binary (not OTA download)?

I'm aware what cache means. I asked where it was being saved.

Did you try the new VIOFO app to see if it would offer you an OTA update?
I usually save the current stable version firmware file. That way I can go back a version if I am having software issues as many of us have had.
Can we install a previous version if needed. Is that possible?

You can install a previous version if necessary, but you need to have the firmware file.

My A329S does not remember that it should remain in parking mode. When I activate this directly via the app and turn off the ignition, the dashcam says that it is in parking mode, but the next time I turn it on, it is no longer in parking mode.

Have you updated your A329S firmware to the latest version: V2.0_260104?

They've added many bug fixes and features that I previously requested to this app instead of the old one.

I know, and everyone should be sure of this, that Viofo doesn't produce a flawless camera or app. Unfortunately, they didn't surprise me, and there are problems again.

Okay, seems to be working with the new firmware. Next problem: I used the low power impact detection parking mode. How can I test if it works? Shaking the car hasn't triggered anything so far.

Closing the driver's door is usually enough to trigger it

If I sit in the car and close the door it'll trigger it. Note, this is 12/30 firmware. Haven't upgraded to the latest yet.

I need to test the “old” firmware.

I downgraded to the latest stable firmware and still have the same issue.

I received an email from Viofo this morning inviting me to update to V2.0 via OTA.

There is a new blog post on the Viofo website (Jan 27th 2026): VIOFO App OTA Firmware Update Guide

The firmware download page shows the latest versions for the A329S series as V2.0_260104.

I don’t have any measurements (bad on me), but it seems that the new firmware enables the A329T camera to boot up in about half the time it used to take. I’m running it with a 512G card and external SSD.
